Street light repairs to take place in section of Baylis Street from 23 July

Excavation works will take place on the western side of Baylis Street between Forsyth and Morgan streets from Monday 23 July to repair a street lighting fault.

Street lighting on the western side of Baylis Street from the Union Club Hotel to Harris Scarfe is currently non-operational.

The fault has been isolated to two light poles near 110 Baylis Street (Kathmandu), with excavation works required at that location to repair the conduit.

Pedestrians are asked to take care in the area, which will be fenced off until Friday 27 July (weather permitting) to reinstate the footpath following the excavation and repairs.

Two car parking spaces will also be unavailable between 7am to 5pm while the electrical repairs take place.

Local businesses have been advised of the emergency works and Council will endeavour to minimise disruption as much as possible.
