Country’s best contemporary jewellery on show at Wagga Wagga Art Gallery

Now in its 30th year, the biannual National Contemporary Jewellery Award will be on show at the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery until 17 March.

The award is Griffith Regional Art Gallery's flagship exhibition and the acquisitive award has been building the National Contemporary Jewellery Collection since 1992, attracting works from Australia's leading contemporary object artists.

“The major prize was increased to $6000 and that a new category for local artists, the Riverina Area Design Excellence Award, was added to recognise the huge amount of talent in our region,” Griffith Regional Art Gallery Manager Raina Savage said.

“Anyone who loves style, elegance or fine arts and design – will love this event.”

A cultural facility of Wagga Wagga City Council, Wagga Wagga Art Gallery is hosting the exhibition of these highly diverse and original pieces.
