Lake Albert gets the all clear - 20 April 2015
Following further water testing Wagga Wagga City Council has issued the all clear for Lake Albert after an alert for blue green algae was issued on 23 March 2015.
“Council has undertaken further testing of the lake water and both samples have come back clear and the water no longer poses a hazard to public health,” Manager Environment and Recreation Services Mark Gardiner said.
“Council advises that Lake Albert is now suitable for recreation use.”
Advisory signage that was installed at Lake Albert following the blue green algae alert has been removed today.
