Community information helps identify dogs involved in attack

Thanks to information provided by the community, Council Rangers have identified two dogs involved in a serious attack on a Kooringal Road property last week.

Council called on residents for information after the dogs were seen exiting the area through a water retention basin about 6.30am last Tuesday 18 August.

A pony had to be euthanized as a result of the injuries sustained in the attack.

Council’s Manager Regulatory Services Greg Minehan praised the community for their help.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the many members of the public who contacted Council Rangers providing detailed information, which has directly resulted in the location of these dogs,” Mr Minehan said.

Legislative proceeding has commenced against the owner of the dogs as a result of this very serious incident.
