Planned remediation works for Chaston Street - 18 February 2015

Wagga Wagga City Council will be rehabilitating Chaston Street, between Dobney Avenue and Cullen Road, with the project to start on Thursday, 19 February 2015.

The remediation works are expected to take approximately six weeks and will begin with night works, followed by daytime works.

Staff will work between the hours of 7pm-6am in the first stages of the project to complete the most disruptive tasks (approximately 10 days). Work will then revert to daytime hours of 7am-7pm to complete the project and minimise overnight noise for residents.

Access to Chaston Street and Mortimer Place businesses and residences will be maintained during the works to necessary local traffic, subject to traffic control.

Chaston Street and Mortimer Avenue will be open to all traffic outside of the advised work hours.

Updates regarding the road closure can be found on Council’s website at www.wagga.nsw.gov.au/roadclosures.

Timeframes for this project are subject to change depending on the progress of other Council projects, site conditions, weather and progress of the project.
