Tidy Towns Committee honours season’s best streets and gardens - 13 February 2015

The Wagga Wagga Tidy Towns Committee will announce its Summer Street of the Season, Business Streetscape and Garden of the Season for 2015.

Residents of McCullough Drive have been honoured with the title of Street of the Season and a resident of Leavenworth Drive has been awarded Garden of the Season by the Tidy Towns Committee.

A morning tea and presentation ceremony will be conducted by the Mayor of the City of Wagga Wagga, Councillor Rod Kendall, and Chair of the Tidy Towns Committee Mr John Rumens, at 10am, Monday 16 February 2015.

The Street of the Season and Garden of the Season awards provide important recognition to the residents of Wagga Wagga that take pride in the appearance of the city, local streets and suburbs.

The Wagga Wagga Tidy Towns Committee was impressed with the overall neatness, appearance and appeal of McCullough Drive in selecting it as the winner for the summer season award.

The Tidy Towns Committee is always seeking new members to join in the spirit of the Keep NSW Beautiful campaign and become involved in their community.

If you are interested in joining the committee, contact John Rumens on 6926 3447 or Wagga Wagga City Council’s Environment and Community Services Department on (02) 6926 9303.
