Have your say on the future of Lake Albert - 21 May 2015

Wagga Wagga City Council is currently reviewing the Lake Albert Management Plan and has launched an interactive website to make it easy for the community to contribute their ideas to the discussion.

As well as providing feedback tools, the website features information about a number of completed, ongoing and proposed in and around Lake Albert.

The Director of Environment and Community Services, Janice Summerhayes, says it’s really important for the community to get involved.

“Council wants to make sure that Lake Albert continues to be a space that is enjoyed by all residents and visitors to the city,” she said.

“In order to achieve that we need to hear from the wider community about what their vision for the Lake Albert precinct is.”

A public forum to discuss projects and issues relating to Lake Albert is also being held next Thursday 28 May from 6.30pm at the Wagga Boat Club.

All sectors of the community are encouraged to attend, and will be given the opportunity to speak directly with project managers at the end of a presentation.

Some of the projects up for discussion include

 Lake Albert Management Plan

 Improvements to Apex Park

 Lights 4 Lake (a Committee 4 Wagga project)

 Constructing a new Dragon Boat Shed

 Lake Albert Wetland
