Lockhart and Temora join Wagga Wagga, Coolamon and Junee on My AppVenture - 12 May 2015

Lockhart and Temora shire councils have partnered with My AppVenture, joining Wagga Wagga, Coolamon and Junee as locations covered by the app.

My AppVenture is a live, dynamic iPhone and Android app currently in development with an expected official launch in July.

The app enables visitors to choose their own “AppVenture” and will be used as a marketing tool to promote visitation to the region.

Attractions and events in Lockhart and Temora will now have the opportunity to be listed on the app.

The app will be heavily promoted to visitors and locals through a variety of mediums, including participating councils’ Visitor Information Centres, social media and websites.

Local businesses, events and tourism operators from participating councils’ local government areas have the opportunity to participate in the marketing program and can purchase subscription packages ranging from $500 to $2000 for the first 12 months.

“Visitors to the Riverina are an important contributor to the regional economy with in excess of 2.2 million visitors coming to the region in 2014, spending approximately $550 million at local businesses,” Mayor of the City of Wagga Wagga Councillor Rod Kendall said.

“My AppVenture will make it easy for both locals and visitors to discover what to do, see and eat across Wagga, Coolamon, Junee – and now Lockhart and Temora.

“It’s more than just an app – it’s a complete platform for industry and stakeholders to view real-time usage and analytics, updates and reports.”
