Kincaid Street to be reopened following sinkhole repairs

The section of Kincaid Street closed today due to a sinkhole will be reopened by 5pm this afternoon.

Council staff have been working throughout the day to stabilise the sinkhole on the western end of Kincaid Street, which resulted in the street being closed between Moorong and Thomas streets.

After the area was excavated, stabilised sand and gravel have been used to fill the void. Please drive carefully when travelling in the area as the road has not yet been resealed.

This section of Kincaid Street will be closed again on Monday 16 November from 7am for further investigative and rehabilitation works to be undertaken.

Residents accessing Kincaid Street from Hann Street will be able to turn left only.

-Ends-
