Civic Centre lift closed during upgrade works

The lift on the lagoon side of the Civic Centre will be closed for upgrade works from 2 November until 11 December.

The upgrade will result in the Wagga Wagga City Library and Council operating buttons being separated and relocated adjacent to the relevant door.

Accessibility will also be improved in the new lift, with instructions and buttons to be written in braille. In addition, a camera will be installed, along with an audible message to announce what level the lift is on.

While the major upgrade is taking place, access to Level 0 of the library will be impacted for some members of the public.

To address this change in access, the library’s lagoon-side entrance will be open until 5pm from Monday to Friday and until 4pm on Saturday.

Library staff will be available at all times to assist members of the public while the upgrade works are taking place.

Council apologises for any inconvenience.
