Kids’ expertise needed for new Inclusive Playground!

Wagga Council’s award winning Funbobulator has been switched on again!

This time we are calling all kids to help us build a brand new Inclusive Playground for Bolton Park, and it’s already proved popular with 60 families nominating their favourite combination of equipment at last week’s Little Big Day Out event.

The multi-stage Bolton Park Inclusive Playground Project will see a brand new playground built alongside new amenities and facilities next to the existing skate park.

Strategic Asset Planner (Parks and Recreation), Ben Creighton, says this project draws on universal design principles that ensure access for people of all abilities.

“This new playground will replace the existing Bolton Park Playground, and will feature equipment that appeals to a variety of senses such as musical instruments and touch sensitive games” he said.

“We have $85,000 set aside for play equipment, now all we need is for Wagga’s kids to use the Funbobulator to help us design it!”

The Funbobulator gives children a list of play equipment to pick from… the catch is they have to squeeze it within the allocated budget!

Grab mum or dad to use the Funbobulator before it closes on Friday 23 October!
