Statement from the General Manager

Director of Planning and Regulatory Services Andrew Crakanthorp has brought his contract of employment to an end, effective at the close of business Tuesday 14 June 2016.

Mr Crakanthorp was placed on paid special leave from 1 February following allegations made against him.

Council recently received a report following an independent investigation into the allegations. Mr Crakanthorp was provided with a copy of the report and subsequently issued with a show cause letter. Mr Crakanthorp did not reply to the show cause letter, other than to say he was ending his employment.

Council has previously referred this matter to the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), who will now be provided with a copy of the independent report.

The allegations made against Mr Crakanthorp remain confidential and no further comment can be made at this time.
