Almost 10,000sqm of turf to be laid in Lake Albert - 20 May 2016

The parkland along Lakeside Drive and the compound area at Ray Beddoe Park will be home to new turf from Monday.

About 10,000sqm of turf will be laid across the two sites, taking advantage of the autumn planting season and the recent wet weather.

The landscaping works follow the installation of bollards along the street last June, which replaced the pine logs that were in place prior to the 2014 Lakeside Drive road rehabilitation project.

The rehabilitation project saw 1.3km of road reconstructed and 635m of kerb and gutter replaced.

Additional bollards will also be installed at the end of Lakeside Drive at Ray Beddoe Park as part of the landscaping project.

The works are expected to take two weeks to complete, weather permitting.
