Little Big Day Out is on again!
This free community event for two to 12 year olds will be jam-packed with activities showcasing the services of the City of Wagga Wagga on Thursday 6 October from 9am to noon.
Due to the ongoing wet weather and conditions, Council will be opening its doors to allow kids to explore the activities within the Civic Centre along with a number of outdoor activities if the rain stays away.
Check out machines Council staff use to get the job done, have a go at the water rollers from the Oasis Regional Aquatic Centre, build your own cardboard box playground or plate up delicious fresh fruit and veggie platters with funky, playful designs.
Build your own futuristic-looking hoop plane with the team from the Museum of the Riverina or create stars, immerse yourself in the toys or simply hang in the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery's Chill Out Zone.
Kids can also explore the Civic Centre with the popular Planning Permit Pursuit and once "approved" go in the draw for a chance to win a prize, including family passes to Cirque Africa and entry passes to the Oasis.
Start the day with Bounce Yoga's "Little Yogis" class, plus there's plenty of entertainment with a performances from Southern Cross Performing Arts and Mina's Dance Academy.
The fun doesn't stop there, with three free inflatables, tasty treats, cute and cuddly animals, a fire truck and the toy library.
Little Big Day Out was established in 2003 as an opportunity to showcase Council's services to the community. The free annual community event is celebrated in the second week of the spring school holidays and held in the Civic Precinct and Wollundry Amphitheatre space.
