Do you want to be more involved in decisions made in your city?
The Your Say Wagga website is one of the many ways that you can be a part of the conversation and if you register between now and Friday 19 May you will go in the draw to win one of three local gift hampers specially prepared at the Wagga Wagga Visitors Information Centre.
Your Say Wagga is an online platform that complements a wide range of consultation methods that the City of Wagga Wagga utilises to receive feedback and input from residents.
“Residents can log on at a time that suits them and contribute to any of the many consultations that are open at any one time,” said the Mayor of the City of Wagga Wagga, Greg Conkey OAM.
“People’s opinions and experiences are crucial for staff and Councillors as we plan for our city.
“These plans can be for long term visions such as Wagga View, our Community Strategic Plan, or smaller projects such as local playgrounds and skateparks.
“Sometimes we hear conflicting views from the community and it can be difficult to please everybody but every bit of feedback is carefully considered in the decision making process.”
Once registered with Your Say Wagga you will receive notifications when a new consultation opens and updates on how your feedback is being considered.
Current consultations include:
- #ActivateWagga
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Protocols
- Bolton Park master plan
- Harris Park master plan on the Peoples Panel
All of the consultations open on Your Say Wagga involve direct communication with stakeholders and are often in addition to other opportunities to talk face to face with City staff.
