Snags and services when Charlie swings by Ashmont

The City of Wagga Wagga will be hosting a free sausage sizzle in Ashmont this week to mark the start of Charlie’s tour of Wagga Wagga suburbs.

Charlie is the City’s education and engagement truck, which has been busy taking services to villages over the last two months.

Mayor of the City of Wagga Wagga, Councillor Greg Conkey OAM says Charlie will be stopping in twenty suburbs between now and October before going back out on its village tour.

"As well as being able to lodge requests and answer questions, staff will be on hand to take your ideas on how we can best activate your suburb," Councillor Conkey said.

"Ashmont residents are experts in their own area so when you drop down for a free snag make sure you drop in to Charlie to tell us what we can do to improve your neighbourhood."

Representatives from the Department of Family and Community Services will also be on hand to answer questions and take feedback.

"Charlie’s first tour of villages has been a huge success with more than a hundred residents passing through to lodge requests, contribute ideas to the rural areas strategy or simply to have a chat," Councillor Conkey added.
