The City of Wagga Wagga’s Planning Taskforce is looking at ways to enhance the quality of lifestyle in our suburbs and villages.
The General Manager, Alan Eldridge says consultation is currently underway for the Activation Strategy and Rural Areas Strategy with residents coming up with plenty of great ideas.
“I was in Currawarna this week to talk to residents and it’s clear that they are the ones that know what is best for their community,” he said.
“Once finalised these strategies will help us make decisions that reflect what the community needs while still maintaining their unique identity.”
Staff will work with relevant State Government departments to discuss how the process can be streamlined and to make sure that Council creates a strategy that is consistent with their plans for these areas.
These strategies will update the Spatial Plan.
