Released 26 July 2017.

The Duty Town Planner is now more accessible than ever, with Council trialing this service on board the engagement truck Charlie as it makes regular stops around Wagga Wagga and surrounds.

Manager City Development Harjinder Singh is encouraging people to bring their ideas along.

“No matter what stage your project is up to the Duty Planner will be able to have a look and advise you what steps you can take,” he said.

“While we can’t make assessments on the spot if you bring your plans to us early we can provide initial advice to help make the application process as smooth as possible.”

This trial is the latest addition to the services provided on board Charlie and is another way that Council’s Town Planners make themselves readily available to the public.

You can drop in to the Customer Service Desk at the Civic Centre during business hours or call 1300 292 442 to make an appointment.
