Wagga Wagga’s vision for the next 23 years and how to get there has been clearly laid out in the Wagga View, Community Strategic Plan 2040.

Adopted at the February Council Meeting on behalf of the community, Wagga View lays out the community’s vision for the future, guiding principles and strategic directions.

“The guiding principles of thriving, innovative, connected and inclusive provide a solid strategic direction for all the decisions that we elected members make on behalf of the community,” he said.

“With more than 3,000 responses collected during the engagement process this truly is a plan by the community, for the community.”

Acting General Manager, Robert Knight, says the document is the result of hard work by a dedicated team.

“City staff put in many hours engaging with thousands of residents’ right across the local government area,” he said.

“Opportunities to take part were varied, accessible and engaging, and we sincerely thank the community for their input.

“The result is a plan that is truly reflective of what our community aspires Wagga Wagga to be.”
