Wagga Wagga City Council is calling on people aged 12-25 to share how they want to be involved in the decisions made about their city.

The Youth Engagement Survey is open until 10 November 2017 and is in response to a notice of motion table at the May 2017 Council Meeting.

Director Community Janice Summerhayes says the decisions made today could affect the city’s young people for generations to come.

“It’s important that young people are involved in the decision making process but they might want to engage differently to the broader population,” she said.

“That’s why it’s important to gauge their views in this survey before making any recommendations about an ongoing youth engagement framework.”

A report on the survey results and recommendations for a youth engagement framework will be presented to the December 2017 Council Meeting.
