Thousands of Wagga Wagga school children can now use their Active Kids voucher at the Oasis Regional Aquatic Centre when they register for Swim and Survive programs.
Oasis Centre Manager, Maurice Eames said the Oasis Regional Aquatic Centre was accredited as an approved provider of the State Government’s Active Kids program last month.
“The Active Kids Vouchers can be used for enrolment in Term 3 Swim and Survive programs for lessons commencing on 20 August. Enrolment opens on 13 August,” he said.
“We’ve had dozens of enquiries about the vouchers and we are pleased that we are now able to accept them for registration in Swim and Survive programs.
“Approximately 6,000 children are enrolled in swimming programs at the Oasis every year, including swimming lessons, intensive holiday lessons and school programs”.
“Swim and Survive programs are offered at eight levels of competency and range from beginner swimmers through to stroke discovery and water rescue skills.”
The $100 voucher is available to every family with school-aged children and can be used at registered sporting providers to fund sports registration and membership fees for programs that are eight weeks or longer.
Parents have until 31 December 2018 to claim and use their 2018 voucher.
Vouchers for 2019 and beyond will commence 1st January and expire 31 December 2019.
