Join Wagga's Australia Day Committee

Are you passionate about our local community and want to help celebrate the people that make Wagga Wagga special?
Applications to join Council’s Australia Day Committee are now open.
Each year, the committee helps plan and deliver Australia Day celebrations in the city, including the organisation of the annual Australia Day Awards ceremony that recognises our local heroes.
Australia Day in 2019 was marked with a free movie screening at the Oasis Aquatic Centre, the awards ceremony, free community breakfast with Aussie activities and entertainment, and a special citizenship ceremony.
If you are interested in joining the committee and helping organise and deliver next year’s events, submit an application before 5pm, Wednesday 21 August.
How to apply
Submit your application online at wagga.nsw.gov.au/committees or pick up a hard copy from customer service at the Civic Centre during business hours.
