Lets talk about Treaty

NAIDOC Week in Wagga Wagga has been another great success with various events to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This year’s theme Voice Treaty and Truth will be central to a community conversation about the importance of Treaty to be held Wednesday 17 July at the CSU Riverina Playhouse between 11am-12 noon.

Guest speaker Aunty Eleanor Bourke is Co-Chair of the Aboriginal Treaty Working Group and will share the history and progress of the Victorian Treaty.

NAIDOC Week started on Monday with the announcement of awards in the Riverina Local Land Services Reconciliation Artwork competition.
