Sportsground signage review

Interpretive signage which outlines the history of a local sportsground has been identified in a report to Council as one way to improve recognition of the person the ground has been named after.

Council has also endorsed trialling the inclusion of a QR code on at least one existing sportsground sign which links back to information about the person.

The report, in response to a notice of motion, said outlining the history of the ground on a sign separate to wayfinding signage would have more impact on providing members of the public with a brief overview of the ground and its namesake.
