Dunns Road maintenance works set to start

Motorists and residents along Dunns Road are advised Wagga Wagga City Council will close the road from 19 July to 2 August to complete a necessary surface upgrade. The work will be carried out on weekdays between 7am and 5pm, weather permitting.

The road will be reopened in the evenings after each shift and local access will be maintained throughout the works.

Council Manager Operations Sylvester Otieno said recent heavy rainfall has contributed to the development of heavy rutting, corrugations and potholes along the road prompting the need for immediate maintenance grading to take place.

“Weather permitting, the work will be completed by early August,” Mr Otieno said.

“Signage will be in place at both the western and eastern ends of Dunns Road to alert road users to the road closure.”
