Important dates

Council’s Manager Governance & Risk Ingrid Hensley said those who were wanting to stand for election could lodge their nominations from next Monday 25 October 2021.

“Candidates, registered political parties and candidate representatives are now able to prepare their nomination and group forms online,” Ms Hensley said.

“Because the election date was moved, anyone who submitted their nomination prior to the change of date will need to do so again. This will ensure the information submitted in nomination forms is accurate and current.”

Anyone who is interested in working at the elections is encouraged to apply now through the NSW Electoral Commission website.

“The NSW Electoral Commission is seeking enthusiastic people with excellent customer service skills,” Ms Hensley said.

“It’s a great way to gain experience, help your local community vote, and earn a little extra.”

The 2021 NSW Local Government elections will be held on Saturday 4 December 2021. Voting is compulsory.
