Discover ‘What’s On’ this autumn

With the return of events to the city and surrounding region, the What’s On guide for autumn 2022 has just been released.
Visitor Economy & Events Coordinator Fiona Hamilton said the guide was back in time for one of the region’s busiest event seasons.
“There is an extraordinary number of things to do and places to visit over the autumn months,” Ms Hamilton said.
“The guide showcases more than 120 events, with a good mix of both major events and community events, so it’s a good idea to get a copy early so you can plan your social calendar.”
As the state gradually eases restrictions and borders have reopened, Ms Hamilton said the feeling in the community was positive.
“People are keen to enjoy being together again in a COVID-safe setting, experience something new, and just have some fun.
“Especially as the weather cools down, it’s great to get out of the house and go for an adventure.”
Highlights of the guide include: Wagga Wagga Mardi Gras Festival, Gears and Beers, Stone the Crows, FUSION22, NRL Raiders v Storm, Great Summer Nights as well as the regular markets.
Ms Hamilton is encouraging events organisers to register upcoming events by Friday 8 April 2022 to ensure their inclusion in the winter edition of the What’s On guide.
“The guide’s listings fill up quickly, so go to visitwagga.com/calendar/promoting-your-event to see how you can list your upcoming event.”
