After School Art program returns to Wagga Wagga Art Gallery

Wagga Wagga Art Gallery’s favourite after-school Take off at 4 art program for young people aged 6 – 12 years returns on Wednesdays for four weeks starting 7 June.

The series of four workshops across the month of June will include creative hands-on art making whilst exploring the range of exciting new exhibitions on display at the Gallery.

Wagga Wagga Art Gallery Program Coordinator Astrid Reed said “The Take off at 4 program will not only develop children’s creative skills using a range of mediums, but they also get to see real life artworks inside the Art Gallery.

“It’s always great to see young people excited to explore new exhibitions, as for some it will be the first time in an Art Gallery” Ms Reed said.

The workshops are suitable for all abilities and include colourful and hands-on activities, viewing artworks, and creating inspired prints and drawings in a fun relaxed environment.

The art program runs every Wednesday from 7 - 28 June 2023. Bookings are required (Creative Kids Vouchers are accepted) with all materials will provided. Limited spaces available so get in quick.
