If you’ve ever dreamed of performing the evocative dance Kate Bush invented for her song Wuthering Heights in 1978, then now’s your chance!
Join local Kate Bush fans getting together to celebrate this influential song – one of the 1970s greatest hits – and the video that helped make it famous.
On Saturday 20 July, Wagga Wagga will host its inaugural Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever on the lawn near the Civic Theatre after rehearsal sessions held over the last month at the Seniors Community Centre on Tarcutta Street.
A final rehearsal session, run by talented local dance instructor Hayley Allen-Freeman, starts at 1.30pm, just before the big performance itself which starts at 2pm.
If you can, wear a Kate Bush-style gown, but as long as its red anything goes!
A part of Wagga Wagga City Council’s FRESH, which brings together Gen Alpha, Gen Y, Gen X, baby boomer and silent generation audiences to exchange ideas and gather fresh insights and perspectives, The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever promises to be a fun community event for everyone involved.
