Calling all thrill-seekers and ocean enthusiasts! Prepare to embark on an unforgettable journey as Shark Dive makes a splash in Wagga Wagga during the July school holidays.

Come close to a great white shark while staying dry on land with this immersive theatre experience, unlike anything seen on the Civic Theatre stage.

Perfect for families seeking adventure during the school holidays, Shark Dive offers a unique choose-your-own-adventure style experience that's sure to delight even the most restless of youngsters. Get ready to immerse yourself in a world where sharks reign supreme and every twist and turn leads to new discoveries.

In an exciting collaboration, the Civic Theatre is inviting local performers and artists to join forces with the internationally acclaimed puppeteers, Erth Visual & Physical Incorporated, as they bring the magic of puppets and the deep blue sea to life right here in our city.

Civic Theatre Manager Claire Harris is thrilled to be bringing such a fun and interactive work to our local area during the holidays.

“The experience is perfect for all ages and especially for those kids who don’t enjoy sitting still in a theatre seat for an hour,” Ms Harris said.

“Even better, our own local talent will have an opportunity to work with and learn from the best in the business to deliver the show.”

Erth Visual & Physical Inc. will bring a team of creators, makers and performers to Wagga Wagga to work alongside young, local performers in a paid professional development engagement with on-the-job training.

Wagga Wagga Civic Theatre are inviting local performers aged 16 to 25 years to apply to be a part of the puppeteering team for the run of shows in Wagga Wagga during July.

“We are looking for physically strong performers with some experience in either puppetry, dance, movement or circus,” Ms Harris said.

Expressions of interest for the paid work experience will close on Friday 7 June. Those interested should get in touch with the theatre for more information on how to apply.

Erth’s Shark Dive will be presented at the theatre from 10-12 July 2024, with training and rehearsals from 4-9 July.

Tickets to experience Shark Dive are now on sale via the Civic Theatre website.
