Wagga Wagga Garage Sale Trail on this weekend

The Garage Sale Trail is taking off this weekend, and residents are already planning out their map of bargains.
Buyers can access an online map displaying all sales happening locally on both weekends, November 9-10 and 16-17.
Registrations are open for sellers until the first weekend of sales on Saturday 9 November.
Council Environmental Education Officer Christina Reid says this event is a great way to declutter and earn some extra cash for items you don’t need anymore.
“Just under 50 garage sales have been registered in Wagga Wagga, and there’s still time to register your event,” Ms Reid said.
“If shopping is more your thing, head out with family and friends and find something special. There’ll be lots of opportunities to grab some quality bargains.
“It's about making money, saving money, and keeping quality items out of landfill. It’s also a great opportunity for a social event with friends and family, or getting a community group together.
“We know of one local organisation running a group sale, and several community members have got their friends or neighbours to hold a sale together.”
The Garage Sale Trail has also arrived just in time for National Recycling Week, running from Monday 11 November to Sunday 17 November.
This year, Planet Ark’s call to action ‘Join the Cycle’ is focused on improving recycling knowledge and building better recycling practices.
Ms Reid says the Garage Sale Trail saves items from landfill, promoting the circular economy.
“Every item you buy or sell stops another thing from going to waste. At the end of the Garage Sale Trail, Council is able to access local data and see how many items were saved from landfill locally.”
