Statement from General Manager Peter Thompson

Wagga Wagga City Council has today been advised of the outcome of an investigation by the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) in relation to former General Manager Alan Eldridge.

ICAC has advised that it has finished its inquiries and the investigation is now closed. It has concluded that available evidence was insufficient to support findings of serious or systemic corrupt conduct.

As there is an action in the Supreme Court in relation to some of the factual circumstances, Council will not be issuing any further comment.
