Opportunity to operate Riverside Stage 2 food van

Wagga Wagga City Council is seeking Expression of Interest submissions from parties interested in licensing a food van located within the Riverside Precinct, to provide food services to the public.
The food van will be located within the Riverside Precinct, east of Johnston and Church Streets and adjoining the Wagga Wagga Beach and Wiradjuri Walking Track.
Council Strategic Asset Planner (Parks and Recreation) Ben Creighton said the van has been developed as part of the Riverside Stage 2 Project.
“The project is nearing completion, and once it opens to the public, we expect that it will be a significant attraction for the area from a casual visitation point-of-view as well as events,” Mr Creighton said.
“We’re looking for an operator who will be able to provide food and beverage services to that precinct.
“The intention is that people will be able buy something to eat or drink while they’re at the Riverside precinct, whether it’s for small events, while the kids are using the new playground, or they’re walking or riding past on the shared pathway along the Wiradjuri Trail.”
In addition to operating the van, the successful licensee would also have the option to bring in additional food and beverage services to the venue.
Expressions of Interest close at 4pm on Friday 25 March 2022. For more information or to make a submission, visit connect.wagga.nsw.gov.au/riversidefoodvan
